PES 2015 Total Change

Shinji Hirano - president of Konami Europe - has stated, in an interview with MVC, that PES will be "totally changed" for PES 2015.

"I cannot give details on exactly what we are doing with the UK studio, but they are working on the next project and looking at the needs of the European people. It’s about globalizing the franchise, so it is not just being developed by Japanese people."

"We know what’s been going wrong with PES, we are working on that. The next version is totally changed. 2014 is a transitional year for the franchise, so expect big things."

I think most would agree that it's very early in the year for PES 2015 news to start flowing. The communities reaction to PES 2014 has also been very mixed, so Konami certainly have their work cut out for them. It's going to be an important year.

How do you feel about this statement. Do you feel like you've heard this before? Or are you excited that Konami has discovered what has been "going wrong?"

Please keep in mind that outright negativity toward this type of statement is easy. It's harder to remain positive, especially if you feel like you've been let down by PES 2014. Personally I do feel like this is something the community has heard before, and it's not really the way I would like to see the build up to PES 2015 begin. However, if Konami feel like they've made a break through in development, its great news. Hopefully we can get more answers soon.
